Salam aleikum!

This page is a collection of short stories and writings I make free for my readers. The list is a list of them, growing slowly over time.

Most recent: Real Man Business: Omar Green, from Charleston, has an incident of his own while in Charleston in the same summer as Onyx Sinigal in No Forgiveness. But his nemesis, a real homosexual to whom he stood up, follows him back to Kuwait and tries to "color him gay", in front of the Muslims. Having met Onyx at the end of the summer, Onyx gives him advice. They must lure him. But this time, no one is going to his hometown to deal with it. They're going to the real motherland, where they can sort out the homo without interference. When interference does appear, it is the opposite of what they hoped against.

Super Cop: In a future Nigeria, the north is still under what is colloquially referred to as the Northern Nigeria Shariah, or the NN Shariah. It is referred to as such by the Muslims because it is applied to the poor but not to the rich and influential. A descendant of Uthman Dan Fodio is calling on the central authority of NN to impose it on everyone correctly. But a particular court case pushes him to call the judge an apostate and call for his slaughter or repentance. When the Emir of NN supports the judge, Fuduye Seku calls for a jihad against the central government. This time, the people know who is right and help arrives before they even expect it.

Back at the Crib: In 2028, much of America has lost its war on Islam, and the Mujahidden of the Americas, or MA, has control over its southeast. Though not oppressing the Christian populations, the MA wants to arrest some blasphemers to send a message to the enemies of Islam within its jurisdiction. Mikail Harris already fled the chaos from before the MA and is comfortable among the Muslims in Eastern Jamaica. Then Max calls him back to Mobile to help make arrests of anyone he knows to have insulted Allah or insulted Muhammad in the past. Reluctant as Mikail is, he turns out to take it more seriously than even the authorities for whom he is working. Does he kill the blasphemer who he learns also killed his relatives, or let others handle that for him to ensure impartiality?

No Forgiveness: Onyx, living in Kuwait as a Muslim, goes to visit his parents back in the US, and confronts not only an enemy from youth he hasn't forgiven, but also the Christian societal pressure to forgive unconditionally, which he has no obligation to do no matter how the number of years that go by. But his nemesis hasn't changed deep-down, and he must translate the lesson he learns into a teachable lesson for his students back in Kuwait, who often imitate the failing societies even without intending to.

***A Visit Home: (One of my best) Jungle visits his hometown and sees his childhood friends. But the only other one that's Muslim is out to prove how moderate he is at Jungle's expense, which proves Islam true in the eyes of another.

*****Return Home: (Five stars for a reason!) Sequel to A Visit Home, Reggae returns to Jamaica with Jungle at his side to give dawah to his homeland. But they encounter a deported imam there who has just begun to do the same thing. The message spreads easily enough, but they must prevent Jamaican Muslims from becoming the apolitical wimps like the American Muslims they left behind. To do it, they must eventually give life to the message and confront what is worst in Jamaica in its early stages, to give the people confidence in themselves.

Around the Atlantic: A hijrah story about Jeffrey, who was only 14 and the only Muslim he knew of when he accepted Islam in Montserrat. When the people ridiculed his preaching, he left and made hijrah just to be around Muslims. Now, as Jamal, and a grown man, he must leave again for a better place to be a Muslim, and at the last minute must rescue his sister who has re-accepted Islam. He gets more than what he bargained for in this life, and so does his sister.

Vigilante: A long story about Bilal, who was tired of being bothered by beggars in his city. This minor pet peeve leads to a fight in which his wife is killed, but the experience opens his eyes to injustice as a whole, and his resolve becomes unwavering until the end.

Speaking of Disaster: Jim McLeod disbelieves that natural disasters are any sort of divine punishment. Ali warns him. but Allah is always sufficient.

Ultimate Sacrifice: Ryan, Jr cannot guide his dad to Islam, only Allah can. But it sometimes takes drastic situations for people to accept guidance.

Great Tate Debate: Luthuli Tate thought he was so smart and that Islam was just some Black people's foolishness. Omar shows him a thing or two, but unexpected help shows Tate a lot more!

Free or Dead: Musa Chastain is as normal a travel writer as it gets, until a particular evil going unpunished in his homeland drives him to righteous anger and vengeance.

If You're My Brother: Malik Freeman and his brother chose two different religious paths, but Malik must act out of character when Martin insists on deriding Malik and his choice of faith.

Halloween: Ron Hudson, before he became Jabril Saleh as a man, was just a child in spooky south Louisiana when he learned that some scary things about Halloween weren't just fairy tales, but real devilment in the flesh. That adventure is described here.

Trip to the Low Country: A bunch of pics from our last trip to S Carolina's low country where you find the Gullah people.

Day at the Zoo: Not at all a short story, just a lot of photos of my day at the zoo with my little daughter. She really loves to visit the zoo and loves nature, hamdulillah.
